New CRU board and chairman 2021

Vice chancellors Eva Åkesson, UU, and Maria Knutson Wedel, SLU, have appointed CRU's new chairman and new members to the CRU board. We thank the current board members for their valuable work and welcome our new board and chairman, starting January 1, 2021.

CRU chairman 2021-2022

Thomas Brodin, PhD, the Carl von Linné Clinic

Greetings from Thomas: It is fascinating what can be done within infertility treatments today, but we are still challenged by knowledge gaps in areas that lack solid scientific basis. I am convinced that the valuable collaboration and knowledge exchange that CRU stands for will contribute to scientific fields cross-fertilizing each other, and that insights may be gained for the benefit of everyone. I would like to thank you all for trusting me to take over the chairmanship for CRU after my colleague Jan Holte!

About Thomas: Thomas has been a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1999. Since 2009, he has worked clinically at the Carl von Linné Clinic, and during the past three years he has been manager for the clinic. The Carl von Linné Clinic has a marked interest in reproductive medicine, both from a practical and from a scientific point of view. In Thomas' research, he has studied methods for estimation of (human) ovarian reserve and their association to outcome measures in IVF. The clinic has recently become part of an international group of prominent private IVF units – GeneraLife, a partnership which will lead to increased international cooperation.
