Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute: (max 6 lines)
- Issues that I think are extra important for the faculty and that I, as prodean, want to prioritise are: improved conditions for:
- peace to work (arbetsro), i.e. improving the staff's possibilities to carry out their work tasks within research and teaching,
- the departments and staff to complete the processes of change in the new organisation,
- to develop all the faculty's educations,
- competence and career development – in both research, teaching and leadership for all academic staff,
- the faculty's unique infrastructures – in accordance to the needs and resources of the research and teaching at the faculty.
Personal reflections:
The operation and activities we carry out at the VH faculty are important and unique, and have a very high potential both nationally and internationally. The ‘engine’ of VH's operations is the commitment, competence and creativity of the staff. I have for a long time worked for improved conditions for our research and teaching, an improved creative academic environment and a good working environment. To get the opportunity to continue to do that in the role of prodean would be fantastic.
In all parts of my work, I am committed, goal and solution oriented and focused on cooperation and implementation. As a leader, I act supportive, encouraging and am perceived as clear, communicative and with low prestige. For me, it is important that leadership have the starting point in the current situation of the staff and the operations, to work with clear expectations and towards common and relevant goals. I want to contribute in creating good conditions for the staff to focus on, and professionally carry out, their working tasks.
