The courses will continue to be in the areas of green transition, batteries and technology. For 2025, SLU received 2.5 million SEK and with these funds the following courses are currently under development:

  • Kunskap om mark för hållbar förgröning och ökad biodiversitet i stadsmiljön
  • Källsorterande avloppssystem för en grönare avloppsvattenhantering i Sverige
  • Naturbaserad upplevelseproduktion
  • Skötsel av tätortsnära skogar

The courses are available on SLU:s website for online-courses. They are also available on the Learning4professionals website, where courses from other participating universities are also available. For short courses aimed at professionals, the format massive open online courses are well suited as they are short, free of charge and do not require an admissions process (flexible start and end dates). However, other forms are possible, but not courses with university credits. The courses are preferably planned so that they can later be added as modules in existing courses, and/or at a later stage can be developed into short credit-bearing courses or contract education.

If you are interested in doing a course and wish to have more information, please contact Bercem.johannesson@slu.se. A call for applications will shortly be sent out via email to departmental directors of studies for further distribution to teachers and researchers.

Participating higher education institutions are:

Uppsala University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Lund University, Umeå University, Linköping University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Luleå University of Technology, Mälardalen University, Chalmers University of Technology

The government assesses that selected higher education institutions have particularly strong educational environments in areas that are considered important for society's climate transition.
