How well does communication work at SLU – and how can it be improved? A new survey is soon being carried out to help us find the answers.
Communication is vital for achieving our goals, creating a good working environment and driving positive change. To gain a better understanding of how communication functions at SLU, we are soon conducting a survey across the entire organisation. On 1 December, all employees and managers will receive an email with a link to the survey.
‘Effective and clear communication is essential for collaboration, learning from one another and moving the university forward. That’s why it’s important for us to get a clear picture of how communication works – what works well and what we can improve together. I would therefore like to encourage everyone to respond to the survey. It only takes a few minutes, and the more people who take part, the better the basis for our work’, says Sara Arvidson, Communications Director at SLU.
The aim of the survey is to identify strengths and development opportunities within five areas:
The survey consists of a questionnaire that all employees and managers at SLU are invited to complete, regardless of how long they have been employed or their type of employment. It takes approximately 6–8 minutes to complete, and all responses are completely anonymous. The questionnaire is available in both Swedish and English. The survey is open from 1–14 December.
The results will be compiled in a report including recommended areas for development and a communication index (KIX), which allows us to compare SLU with other organisations. The survey and the index were developed by researchers at Mid Sweden University.
