Presentation
In my role as pro vice-chancellor, I support the vice-chancellor with matters relating to collaboration and environmental monitoring and assessment, from a university-wide perspective. This involves leading, coordinating and developing collaboration and environmental monitoring and assessment. As pro vice-chancellor, it is also my duty to ensure that collaboration between SLU and our stakeholders runs smoothly on various levels. In addition, I maintain close contact with SLU’s stakeholders, industry, public authorities and society. Collaboration between industry and academia has characterised my career, so I am pleased to be able to continue this work as pro vice-chancellor.
I am an agronomist specialising in domestic animals, and in 1999, I received my doctorate from SLU. I have since worked with research and development at Swedish and international corporations – always in close collaboration with universities around the world.
I returned to SLU to lead the SLU Future Food platform upon its launch. The platform works towards creating a sustainable and competitive food system by stimulating interdisciplinary and trans-sectoral collaborations, communicating scientifically-based knowledge and identifying key issues together with industry, public authorities and other sectors.
It is with confidence that I believe SLU plays a key role in the developments towards sustainable life and I am looking forward to working to realise this vision, together.
