SLU is introducing stricter environmental requirements under one certificate

SLU is certified according to ISO 14001, which is an environmental management system. Previously, there were eleven certificates, where VHC and UDS was one, but from January 1st 2021, the eleven certificates will be merged and there will only be one certificate at the entire SLU.

We will therefore have common goals throughout SLU, where a reduction in air travel is one of the five new measures that have now been decided. By 2025, SLU will have reduced its total fossil fuel emissions by 60%, compared to 2019 per full-time equivalent. This could be the equivalent of a 90% reduction in domestic flights and 50% reduction in international flights.
