Important future issues for the faculty
A relevant issue is internal communication as an essential measure to stimulate a constructive dialogue and to increase support between scientists to increase their competitiveness.
Another important aspect is to continue positioning our faculty as a reference for quality and knowledge both nationally and internationally. While basic science is relevant, I believe that plenty of research ideas could already benefit society.
Thus, a better communication flow with industry and public should be achieved.
The last but, not the least, education is the core of a society that wants to advance in the right direction. Long distance education, new technologies applied to teaching, new methods are interesting matters that require of motivated and well-trained teachers.
How I will contribute to the new faculty board
My goal is to contribute an international perspective for its value in helping to increase the impact of our science on global issues for the development of sustainable models. An international perspective also means helping the integration of the Faculty´s international community to increase their involvement in matters relevant to the faculty and the development of their careers.
I graduated from the Faculty of Biology (Valencia, Spain) with majors in Microbiology and Biochemistry.
