Data controller

The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. Processing contact is Kristine Koch (kristine.koch@slu.se), Research Officer at the NJ Faculty Office and Secretary of the NJ Faculty’s Committee on Global Affairs. The committee collects personal data.

Purpose

The purpose for publishing personal data is to provide information on Tag-along and to inspire other employees to apply for funds for these trips.

SLU compiles data on those who have received funds from the NJ Faculty in order to carry out Tag-along trips. The intention is then to publish, on the staff web, the names and departments of participants, purpose of the trip, destination, when the trip was made, how much money was granted and a short project report.

Every traveller can decide their stance to publishing of the material. When processing personal data by publishing it on the web, the legal basis is that we are carrying out a task of public interest, primarily by documenting and spreading information on SLU operations.

SLU also processes personal data in order to administrate and assess Tag-along applications, and to inform the receiving organisation on who will be visiting them.

For informational purposes, the names of those granted Tag-along funds will be published through internal channels at the NJ Faculty. For example, in the form of news on the NJ staff web pages, or in a faculty newsletter.

SLU will also process your personal data as required for SLU to comply with regulations on public documents and the archives of public authorities.

Legal basis

SLU’s legal basis for processing personal data in connection to Tag-along applications is the agreement which is made when an application is granted. Because of this agreement relationship, processing is necessary.

When publishing personal data in various forms on the web, the legal basis is that SLU, in accordance with the Higher Education Act, must provide information on its operations and spread knowledge about them. Subsequently, processing is done to carry out a task of public interest.

Disclosure

SLU may disclose your personal data to anyone who requests a public document that includes your data, in accordance with the regulations on public documents, unless they are subject to non-disclosure.

Transfer of personal data

SLU intends to transfer your personal data to the destination hosts.

International transfer of personal data

In accordance with the rules, the receiving organisation of a Tag-along trip are countries from the OECD’s DAC list (Development Assistance Committee). Normally, these countries are not considered by the European Commission to have an adequate protection level for personal data. Despite this, transferring personal data is necessary in order for SLU to fulfil the Tag-along agreement. Therefore, personal data transfer is supported in accordance with article 49.1 b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Storing data

Since personal data will be published in a list of trips that have been carried out, which must be supplemented every time another trip is made, personal data will be published in this context until further notice.

Your personal data will also be stored for as long as required by the Public Access to Information Act and the regulations on the archives of public authorities.

Your rights

You have the right, under certain circumstances, to have your personal data erased, corrected or limited. You also have the right of access to the personal data being processed, and you have the right to object to the processing of your data. Obligation to provide personal data

Tag-along applicants must submit their personal data in order for the NJ Faculty to process the application.
