General information on research infrastructure
The infrastructure needed to be at the forefront of scientific development is becoming more expensive and technically advanced, while the possibilities for external funding have decreased. Increased coordination of resources, both within SLU and nationally - and in some cases internationally - is therefore necessary.
The SLU's guidelines for managing research infrastructures clarify which principles will govern prioritization, funding and allocation of responsibilities for research infrastructures at SLU (link to the guidelines below).
Since 2015, SLU has a central fund for supporting the establishment and development of certain infrastructures (so-called infrastructure grants). A link to the annual announcement and lists of research infrastructures funded by this central fund can be found at the bottom of this page.
