Important things to know about zoom
Last changed: 31 August 2021
- Zoom only allows one host meeting per user at a time, ie you can not be logged in as a host in several ongoing meetings at the same time.
- Zoom can automatically create a meeting ID, this can be used when it is best to restrict who should be able to join the meeting. It is possible to create recurring meetings with the same automatic meeting ID.
- Your personal meeting ID (PMI) is always the same. The people you share your personal meeting ID with can join any meetings you agree with. Use passwords for your meetings or the Waiting Room function to control who should be able to connect to your various meetings.
- If you are recording a meeting, be sure to review the Zoom recording settings. Remember to inform all participants that the meeting will be recorded.
