A new doctoral student can expect an introduction from SLU to the new department and her/his education. Ask your department director of study or contact person for doctoral education about the routines at your department.

Doctoral education shall contain both general courses and more specific subject courses. The doctoral student and supervisor agree on suitable courses, after reading the requirements specified in SLU guidelines for doctoral education and the general syllabus for the subject.
