The Division of Estate Management is a relatively new phenomenon at SLU. On 1 April 2016 it was decided that the two units Real Estate Management and Forestry and Agricultural Operations would form the backbone of the new division:
Division of Estate Management, see organisation chart.
Mission of the Division of Estate Management
The Division of Estate Management provides SLU with cost-effective and suitable premises in a commercial manner.
The Division of Estate Management manages and uses forests and land long-term to meet demands and expectations. This is done using financially, qualitatively and environmentally optimal solutions, in cooperation with SLU's research resources.
The division's mission in 2016:
The Real Estate Management Unit manages the properties that the government has commissioned SLU to manage, as well as the properties donated to SLU:
- Letting properties for research and teaching.
- Make sure that any letting to internal or external parties is done on a commercial basis.
The Forestry and Agricultural Operations Unit runs the forestry and agricultural operations on the properties.
