Registration is now open - Hack for Sweden 365!
Do you want to help save the forest frpm the European spruce bark beetle? Registration is now open for the innovation competition Hack for Sweden 365! The Swedish National Space Agency and National Forest Data Lab (The Swedish Forest Agency and SLU) are challenging participants to make it easer for landowners to save their forest from the European spruce bark beetle.
The insect European spruce bark beetle causes mass death in our spruce forests. The damage is even more extensive than the forest fires during the hot summer of 2018. In this year’s Hack for Sweden 365, participants are challenged to find solutions to make it easier for landowners to survey their forest using available satellite images, maps and forest data.
