The SLU publication database is being upgraded

Published: 04 May 2017

The system behind SLUpub is being upgraded and a new version will be launched presently.

The new version has a different database structure which will yield better performance, i.e. faster response times, and is in the same environment as the Web of Science platform. One new feature is that it is possible to create an ORCID via SLUpub, and to connect to for automatic updates of individual publication lists there. The updates are made once the publication posts have been validated by the library.

As of this upgrade, a couple of changes will be made by the library:

  • When registering publications, less information is needed – however a link to or a file with the publication must be included.
  • The library will continuously import and validate publications from the Web of Science Core Collection* which means that fewer registrations will be required from scholars.

* Comprises the databases: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science,  Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science & Humanities
