Graduated in biotechnology with a broad knowledge of digital- and real time qPCR analytical methods and extensive experience with different molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, sampling, spectroscopic methods and analysis of large data sets. Adaptable to different situations and incline to connect in multicultural networks, enjoying working in teams and be in contact with people.
Presentation
I work as research engineer at the Ecology department of SLU in Ultuna, Uppsala. I am involved in different national and international projects about bee stressors, such as viruses, bacteria, eukaryotic pathogens and agrochemicals. My main duties are related to the molecular biology behind the experiments conducted in our laboratory.
Research
Quantitative and qualitative analysis of insect’s viruses, bacterial and eukaryotic pathogens. Isolation, cultivation, DNA and RNA processing, gene expression and sequencing of bee's pathogens.
Pesticide exposure effects on honeybees health.
Cooperation
Involved in research work with 14 European countries for the "Pan-European assessment, monitoring and mitigation of stressors on the health of bees" (PoshBee project).
