Do you have ideas for SciFest but are unsure how to implement them? Are you interested in popular science and communicating research to children and young people?
We are organising a workshop for all interested in popular science and research communication.
In the workshop, we go through the process, step by step, of creating an interesting and target group-adapted activity for SciFest. The goal is for you as an exhibitor to receive practical and reliable hints on what you should think about, both during the planning and implementation of your activity. Leif Hallsén (high school teacher and museum educator) and Cecilia Ödman (responsible for public activities at Gustavianum) share some successful and less successful examples of such activities.
Light refreshments in the form of coffee and buns will be served. The workshop is in English.
We will also give the workshop May 3.
SciFest will be arrenged in Fyrishov 21 - 23 September. It is a science festival with a wide range of workshops, shows, competitions, researcher meet and greets, and lectures. Since 2020, the festival is co-organised by Uppsala University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
