Application and appointment as Associate Professor at the VH Faculty

Being appointed associate professor at SLU is a step in the academic career and proof that a person has developed their academic skills after a doctoral degree so that it has the quality required for assignments as a main supervisor.
Since 1 January 2019, all four faculties at SLU have common guidelines for the appointment of associate professors.
You apply for the position of associate professor in one of the doctoral education subjects offered at the faculty, and this subject must be stated in the application.

Application
The applications for appointment as associate professor are processed twice a year. The application periods open on 1 December and 15 June, respectively, with deadlines on 1 March and 15 September.
